I’m an Engineer-turned-business researcher and organizational leader. I’m equally at home looking at the big picture and setting the overarching strategy, or digging into the fine details to analyze complex challenges and drive improvements.
The same approach for different problems: Breaking down complex challenges into base components, and re-engineering them into solutions that work the first time, and every time.
Setting direction, aligning stakeholders, and negotiating mutually-beneficial outcomes.
Running complex, global programs on time, on scope, and on-budget.
Rigorous, evidence-driven approach to solving real-world problems.
Increasing the thoroughness and efficiency of the value chain.
Seeing the trees without losing sight of the forest.
Today’s landscape is more complex than ever. Assessing the global market landscape and setting strategy based on that information is second nature.
Getting up to speed faster than most, for a deep understanding of the fine details, whether that be for the product, program, process, or people in an organization.
I grew up repairing farm machinery and restoring classic tractors on a small family farm in Romeo, Michigan. I never lost the approach of understanding how something works, then making it better. These days, I work on organizations instead of engines.
